TRANSPORTATION

Superintendent

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work:
  • The Superintendent is the company representative who has the primary responsibility for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors’ work.
  • Superintendent is responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including ultimate responsibility for implementation of Safety/Zero Harm program for the jobsite, supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work.
  • Shares responsibility with the project manager for developing the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures.
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred and 7+ years of experience. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary.
  • Rail experience is required.

Assistant Construction Manager

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work:
  • Undertake the day to day construction management of the project in terms of safety, quality, environment, engineering/ design compliance, etc. Make decisions and recommendations that can greatly affect profitability of assigned area.

Scope of Work:
  • The Accountant reports to a Senior Accountant and will perform a variety of professional level accounting activities within the Finance Department in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) for the San Mateo County District (SamTrans), Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (Caltrain), and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA).
  • Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.   • Under the immediate supervision of the Print Shop Supervisor, operates binding equipment, and performs related work activities.
  • Operates power paper cutters, folding machines, and sorters.
  • Operates a drill press.
  • Performs collating and padding functions.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible bindery experience, including the operation of a power paper cutter, folding machine, and sorter.
